Payment Terms

Once your booking is confirmed, Mountain Legends and Safaris will issue an invoice with all details of your itinerary. To secure your reservation, a deposit of 50% of the total itinerary cost is required. For airline tickets, 100% advance payment is mandatory.
The remaining balance must be settled 65 days prior to the start of your trip. Bookings made within 65 days of departure require full payment at the time of confirmation.


Methods of Payment

Payments can be made via bank wire/transfer. Bank details will be provided on your invoice.


Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, whether in part or in full, Mountain Legends and Safaris will apply cancellation charges as follows:

  • 65+ days before departure: Deposit is non-refundable

  • 50–65 days before departure: 50% of itinerary cost

  • 0–50 days before departure: 100% of itinerary cost

Should you wish to amend your confirmed itinerary or request an earlier departure date, we will do our best to accommodate changes subject to availability. Please note that amendments will incur an additional fee of €150.


Website Pricing

All prices displayed on MountainLegendsAndSafaris.com are per person, based on double occupancy (unless otherwise stated), and quoted in US Dollars (US$).
Please note that the following are not included in the itinerary cost:

  • Passports and visas

  • Border taxes (if applicable)

  • Tips/gratuities for guides, drivers, and hotel staff

  • Travel and medical insurance

  • Optional excursions or personal expenses

  • Peak season supplements or child discounts (unless specified)

All prices listed on the website serve as guidelines. Mountain Legends and Safaris is not responsible for changes or errors in pricing. The final invoice will reflect confirmed costs, and quotations remain valid for two weeks.


Travel Documents

All travel documents (vouchers, e-tickets, luggage tags, and other materials) will be sent to you approximately two weeks before departure.


Insurance

Guests are solely responsible for securing comprehensive travel and medical insurance that covers themselves and any dependents/companions for the duration of their trip in Tanzania. This must include:

  • Medical expenses & repatriation

  • Emergency evacuation (Flying Doctors service recommended)

  • Trip cancellation or curtailment

  • Loss, theft, or damage of personal items

Passports and Visas

It is the responsibility of each traveler to ensure that their passport and visa requirements are in order.

  • Most nationalities can obtain a tourist visa on arrival in Tanzania at airports and borders:

    • $50 per person

    • US citizens: $100 per person

  • The visa is valid for 90 days.

  • Visas can also be obtained in advance through Tanzanian embassies in your home country.

  • Passports must have at least six months’ validity beyond the final day of travel.

Mountain Legends and Safaris cannot be held liable for visa issues, nor for costs incurred in obtaining them.


Check Names

Please carefully check all names on your invoice when you receive it. Name changes requested three or more days after invoice issuance will incur a fee of €125.

Booking with Mountain Legends and Safaris signifies your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.


Contract

All tours and itineraries offered on our website are operated by Mountain Legends and Safaris (hereinafter referred to as “Mountain Legends,” “we,” or “us”), a registered tour operator in Tanzania.
By paying your deposit, you agree to the above Terms and Conditions, which form part of your binding contract with Mountain Legends and Safaris.
