Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be greeted by our Mountain Legends and Safaris guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for overnight accommodation. This is a great time to rest and prepare for the upcoming trek.

Hiking Time: 5-7 hours
Accommodation: Miriakamba Hut
After breakfast in Arusha, transfer to Arusha National Park for registration. The trek begins at Momella Gate with an armed ranger escort, passing through montane forests rich in wildlife such as buffaloes, giraffes, and colobus monkeys. Arrive at Miriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight rest.
Elevation: 2,514m to 3,570m
Hiking Time: 3-5 hours
Accommodation: Saddle Hut
Enjoy breakfast before trekking through lush forests into alpine meadows. The route offers stunning views of Ash Cone and Meru Crater. Arrive at Saddle Hut for lunch and an optional hike to Little Meru (3,820m) for acclimatization. Rest early in preparation for the summit attempt.

Start the final ascent at midnight, trekking through rocky terrain and ridges under starlit skies. Reach Socialist Peak (4,566m) by sunrise for breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley. Descend back to Momella Gate, where you receive summit certificates before transferring to Arusha.
